After some anticipation talking, on the 21st of March we finally made our way to Taiping and Kuala Sepetang. Thanks to Behn and Sherrina for organising the whole trip, it was superbly planned. 3 cars packed with people drove up to Taiping on the 20th Friday night. Reached there, tired, showered, then sleep. Because we’re all preparing for the next morning’s photo shooting, the shooting that we came all the way up here for, The Kuala Sepetang Charcoal Factory. The photo above is what you’ll see if you walk into the Charcoal Factory, that’s the entrance with a river to transport the woods to be processed and become charcoal.

Woke up at 6:15am this morning, clean myself up, took whatever that is needed, head to Siewmei’s house to pick her up, then head to Andrew’s place. Yup, this is another one of those mini shooting trip.
After a few wrong turns, we finally reached FRIM. The place that we turned wrongly into was Taman Botani FRIM. These 2 are places are both under FRIM, but their entrances are in different places, and I don’t think they’re connected.

Although Chinese New Year has just passed, but I would still wanna wish everybody a happy Chinese New Year and may the year of the Tiger brings good for everyone.
I was quite bored at home during the first day of Chinese New Year since most of my friends all went back to their hometown. So after my dinner I was looking for some place to go shoot some Chinese New Year stuffs, obviously since it was Chinese New Year. The first thing that came to my mind was Thean Hou Temple, 天后宮, which is located in Kuala Lumpur, near Mid Valley. There was a huge jam going up the temple, so I decided to park my car at the bottom of the hill and walk up, cos I saw quite some people doing that, so it should be safe.

So here I am, took me around 15 to 20 minutes to walk from bottom of the hill to the entrance of Thean Hou Temple. There were a lot of people, friends, and family going up there to worship for a good year to come. And since it was also Valentine’s day, you see a lot of couples go there to take pictures.

On February 1st, a public holiday Monday, Andrew, Siewmei, and me, went on a small photography trip to Morib, Gold Coast. Our last visit to Tanjung Sepat we totally missed the place. So this small trip is kinda consider a filler to the place.

Basically, there’s really nothing much there, or we didn’t do our research before going there. What’s there we saw was beaches, empty beaches, long stretch of empty beaches. Not to say it’s not nice la, but just a little too plain.

Was clearing my leaves and wasting my time at home. So today my hands quite itchy and wanna do some shooting. Since I never really did a real model shoot before, so called up Siewmei and off we go to Ulu Yam for some impromptu model shooting trip.
This is my second time going to Ulu Yam for shooting. The first time there was like 3 years ago. Kokwai brought us there also for shooting purposes. I was still using my little Fuji F30 that time. This time hopefully the photos are ok.
enjoy~

Day 2 of our Cameron Highlands trip. We slept quite early yesterday to woke up this morning at 4am+ to visit Gunung Brinchang. It is located near the same area we went yesterday, the ‘BOH’ Tea Centre. Hamyu, our information source lead us here because he came here before when he was exploring alone in Cameron Highlands last time.
But seriously have to thank Hamyu for bringing us there. I really really didn’t expect to see what I was going to see… and feel. Never knew Cameron Highlands got such beautiful sunrise. I tot the only place was in Sungai Lembing.
