Today’s my first time coming to Hollys Coffee so early, because the Internet at home is down for a few days already and have no sign of getting any connection anytime soon. Reach here around 4pm. Had a loyalty card which is fully stamped (10 stamps), redeemed a cup of free ice-blended mocha, and this plate of warm and sweet cookies.

Like it here a lot, since there’s not many people, the ambient here is nice, and my experience here before. The staffs here are nice & friendly, and they’re getting more familiar with my face. Bet they’re wondering who’s this guy and what he do. Or maybe for them, I’m just another regular customer, which they have no intention of more understanding.
Today is Brian’s birthday, since today is Saturday, so we celebrated a day earlier for him. Celebrated in the new office, his birthday celebration was the 2nd celebration held in the office since we moved. The first one was JoLee’s birthday.
So we bought some fastfoods, some junk foods, and of cos some alcohol and drinks. The surprise was kinda shitty since at the time we wanted to surprise him, most of the people were busy, some were having meeting, and some were working. So left only a few of us there to so-call “surprise” him. People only started appearing after a while.
It was quite ok after a while, people were eating, laughing, drinking, and making noise. The cake was prepared by Sue-ann. She was asking which funny cake to choose from, and this one was the final choice. The cake was very Brian. Haha. Had a lot of fun cutting it. Brian kept the head in the fridge, just like the phyco “ice-truck killer” in the U.S. TV series “Dexter”. The left boob taken by David, and the right boob was left for WK. And nobody wants to take the panties. LOLz.

There’s another surprise for Brian, which is arrival of the 2 special guests, Eva and Jessica. Both of them are the ex-staffs of Arachnid. It’s been quite some time since we met. Happy to see them, had some chit-chats and catch-ups. Eva is still as stylish as last time, and Jessica is still like my X-Minimax, “Minimum size. Maximum sound”. And the Mickey on my tee was actually welcoming them as well (notice my t-shirt’s Mickey). Hehe. We should meet up more often la girls.

Bought this little gadget, X-Minimax that produce big sound. Thanks to Joe who bought it back for me from Singapore, cos there’s only the single speaker version here in Malaysia, which is more compact, but this one is stereo instead of mono.
Although this is not as compact as the single speaker version, but it’s not really that big, you can see they fit nicely into one palm of mine. Based on the specs sheet, you only need to charge it for 2-3 hours, and it’ll play for around 10 hours. I’ve been using it since for more than 5 hours now since the day i bought, and it still doesn’t need charging. Good for travelling.
Honestly, you have to hear it for yourself to feel how much it can give you. The tagline they’re using, “Minimum size. Maximum sound”, they really mean it.
But again it such a small speaker, so don’t expect it to sound as good as your Altec Lansing or Logitech. There’s some static noise that is produced by the speakers when there are sound playing, but you won’t really notice it if you’re not close to the speakers. Not sure whether is only my unit, or the other units are the same.
So, if you’re a traveller, and don’t like the idea of sticking your ipod headphones in your ears all the time, I highly recommend this product to you. Especially when you’re staying in your hotel, you still can enjoy your own music.

Woke up early today, drove to Taman Desa to look for Andrew. From there, he drove us to Berjaya Times Square for the KL Photography Festival. Dom went there by himself and met us there.
Actually I wanted to go there to see if there’s any good deal on the camera I wanted to buy. A lot of photographers and speakers giving talks on their experiences in photography. Didn’t stay long though as there’s not many booths there for us to check out.
Had lunch there at GASOLINE in Times Square with both Andrew and Dom. Not a very good experience. This is my first time going to GASOLINE to eat. I think we’re not the target audience, because almost everyone in the restaurant is very young, as I would say, kids, even the waiters and waitresses.
So, the manners of those kids working there are really bad, I think they’ve not been trained on how to serve customers. 2 young girls at the bar there was making so much noise, shouting (that’s the way they talk) to each others. And once in a while, they swear, yup, they swear in front of all the customers. Me and Dom looked at each other speechless. The table was not wiped clean, very sticky. Those utensils that they gave us, was still wet, OMFG, gross.
The food, I ordered the Kam Heong Fried Rice. I was shocked that the food that I ordered looks like that (refer to the picture below, that was how it’s served, I didn’t touch it yet), and the plate was also still wet with my rice on top.
The lucky thing was that Andrew’s and Dom’s food were still OK. To be fair, the taste of the food was still OK. But then again with the hygiene of those utensils and plates like that, I wouldn’t be shocked if you get Diarrhea from the food there.

That’s it, tried once, never gonna go back there again.
It’s been raining almost everyday here in KL,
making the sky darker,
making the weather colder,
making the road jam-er,
making the walk slipperier
making the mood bluer,
and (not all bad)
making this shot nicer.

The rainbow was so nice, and we can actually see the whole arc of the rainbow at the windows behind where Brian is sitting. And there’s actually another rainbow next to the one in the photo, but it was too light to be captured. So, didn’t bother to capture it. Hope you enjoy the photo.
Came back office to work today. Reached office at 10am, freaking early, all because the office has moved here. Cos if I were to come later, I’ll be stuck in the jam.
Don’t even have time for breakfast at home, I bought a few buns from the bakery outside Jusco for my breakfast and lunch (I’m thinking that I’ll be too lazy to come all the way over here again to have lunch). Saw a lot of people waiting for Jusco to open.
Thought no one will be coming into the office so early, but was wrong. Remi was the first to reach office. Good to have a company when you have a new office which is big, it’s scary.
Rain fall again today, just like the other days. Manage to capture this rain shot. Hope you’ll enjoy it.

Sooner or later I know that I’m gonna blog about this place. This my friends, is my all time favourite claypot chicken rice. Located at USJ 4, New Apollo Restaurant’s (新阿波羅茶餐室) Choi Gey Claypot Chicken Rice (財記瓦煲雞飯) uses charcoal to cook the rice inside the claypots.
The stall is run by an old couple (at least I think they are). They take turn to do the cooking. I heard a friend of mine said that one of them don’t cook as well as the other, I’m not too sure about that, I think they’re both good.
Before I started to love the claypot chicken rice here, I don’t actually eat those chopped small chilis. I don’t know what happened, one day, I actually tried the chopped chilis with the rice. OMG, what an amazing discovery. So since that time, I don’t eat this claypot chicken rice without it.

The price of of the Claypot Chicken Rice here is quite reasonable. RM5, you’ll get a small one, which i think is almost enough for 2 persons. A big one costs RM8.50, which i think can feed 3 to 4 persons.
They also sell the Yellow Wine Chicken, which i never tried before, maybe next time can ordered and see if it’s as good as the chicken rice.
If you’re interested and need directions to this place, please contact me. Hehe.
It’s been rainy the last few days, and sometimes KLCC and KL Tower will disappear from the sight. Here’s a shot of the view when there’s sun, and not raining.

New office, new view. This is what I see everyday after light. Not the best view, but a lot better than what I saw in Phileo. From this angle, you can see that the KL Tower is taller than KLCC, and the towers of KLCC overlapped. Hopefully we’ll be able to see some fireworks, during some celebrations.
The busy road you see in the picture is Federal Highway. And you can see the MNG billboard on the lower left of the picture.

Yesterday, was looking for friends for dinner. MSN with Victor, know that he, Hh, and Sichuen are going for dinner together, so i decided to join them.
Sichuen suggested a place to eat at Pandan Indah, the place is called Tsim Tung Restaurant. It was a long journey that cost us RM8.80 just for the toll money.
The types of food that they’re selling are similar to those at Kim Gary, just that the food here are nicer. I quality and the ingredients they used are better i think. Thus, the food are more delicious. The prices are similar also with Kim Gary.

P.S: The food here is nice, but doesn’t worth the trip there. So I guess this will be the only time I’ll ever eat at this place.
