Nothing to do on a Saturday afternoon, took my camera, went to this forgotten corner of Subang Jaya. Located in SS12, next to Holiday Villa and behind SJMC, I think the lakes here is as old as Subang Jaya itself. There’s the smaller lake, where it is run by a company to let people enjoy fishing for a price of cos. Then there’s the bigger lake, you can also fish here, it’s free, but the fish you gonna get will not be as good as the other one.
Yes I’ve been here before, long time ago cos there’s nothing much to do here. People still come here to jog and workout, but I think not as many as last time, with those aquipments built here all torn and broken. And then with less people here and the crime rate so high now, don’t think it encourages people to come here more. Rubbish can be seen, but still consider ok lar for Malaysian standard. Hehe.
So I reach here around 2 something and started my walk around the big lake.

The entrance to the big lake. No cars allow.

The view towards the IBM tower.

There are a few type of trees planted here and they’re planted in groups. This is one of them.

Sheraton Hotels can be seen here.

Greensss… you can come here jog and get some fresh air. Well… a little better than other places in Subang. Hehe.

Reflection of the sky.

Manage to captured a lovely dragonfly couple hovering above the lake. So sweet.

There are a lot of these red colour egg-like thingy around the lake. Can anyone tell me what kinda eggs are they?

More cables.

An abandoned theater at the other end of the lake. When was the last show? I don’t know.

A hut next to the stage.

Tired? Have a sit and enjoy the view.

One of the rectangular-shaped pillar. Should be used as fence pillars, but the fence is gone now.

Ass-shaped chains. Exercise anyone?

The path around the lake.

Federal Highway is actually just behind those trees.

Dark clouds started to form, don’t want my D300 to get wet so I faster leave the place.
I found out that the place can be quite okay for portrait shooting. Next time will try with people in my photos. Have a nice day~

Went to Singapore last weekend to attend this convention called SIGGRAPH which held in Suntec City. 7 of us, me, Brian, Sue-ann, Tony, Jook, Tiffany, and Chinling, went down to Singapore by a night train on Friday night 9:30pm. But the train was delayed for half an hour. No biggy tho. Experienced night train (those with bed) once in 2005, so it’s nothing fresh for me.

Can’t really sleep at night, took my camera out and snap some motion of the train.

This is my space. With my bags, can’t really consider comfortable. But I’m guessing it should be better than those sitting ones.

After many hours of train ride, procedures, and walking, finally reach where we going to stay at around 7 something in the morning. The thing is we can’t check in yet so early in the morning. So we put our luggage there at the lobby, then went to wash up a bit and get ourselves moving to have some breakfast. This place that we stay is just off Orchard road, behind The Paragon shopping mall. So it’s really convenient.

Walked to this place under Paragon to eat our breakfast. It’s a small shop called Ah Mei Cafe. The toast there is really good.

After the breakfast, walk some more to the nearest MRT station, got ourselves tickets to City Centre station, where the convention is held. In the photo you see Tiffy waiting for the MRT.

Not too cramp inside the train. Too early to be packed on a Saturday. We reached our location around 10am. Registered ourselves, and prepared to walk in and see some interesting things. The bad thing was no photography are allow. So… no photos lar from the convention.

After we finished the 1st part of our convention/exhibition, we went down for lunch before continueing our 2nd part. This is the food court at the ground floor of the convention centre. It’s called Food Repuplic. The theme there is really nice. Looks like from some Harry Potter movie.

The food court were pack with hungry people. Luckily the food there was not too expensive.

The 2nd part of the schedule was just animation watching. Got some nice animations we watched. And there’s a Korean animation that made me fell asleep. Even the guy behind me agreed with his snoring sound. Watch around 6 or 7 animations, we’ve felt that it’s enough, so we left the place and go walk walk around Suntec City. Here’s a shot of Tony and Jook waiting for Brian and Tiffany while they checking out some gadgets.

Much awaited place to be since we’re all damn tired. We’ve booked 2 service apartment units to cater for around 13 persons, but only 7 of us turn up. So that means we can sleep better with more space to “look” around. Hahaha. Above shot is the living room.

This is the master bedroom.

And this is where i slept. Simple and nice.

The dining table became our place to put our stuffs.

This is the view from my room.

After some resting, is dinner time! Walk our from our room to eat around 7pm.

Dinner was on Brian, thanks dude. He brought us to this place call NYDC inside this mall which i forgot the name. The food there was nice.

Brian and Sue-ann ordering food.

Tiffany reached the place a bit later.

After the dinner, I met up with Ailin. I asked her to bring me around to do some shooting. I still got a lot to learn in shooting street at night.

This shot and the above shot was shoot by 50mm. Gotta like the bokeh!

After Orchard road, we took the MRT to City Centre again. But this time we walked to another direction. Here you can see a very nice skyline of Singapore. Above is a picture of the 1st Singaporen Casino in the making.

Ailin on the bridge with the Durian and Singapore largest ferries wheel.

This is part of the skyline in Singapore. Very nice.

Finally a picture of me posing in front of the famous Singapore Merlion.

Helped Ailin took 1 photo with the Merlion because this is the 1st time she’s here also. Hahaha. We chit-chat at this place for some time, then we headed back to Orchard.

Buffet breakfast included the next morning.

We have to check our from the service apartment before 12pm, so after our breakfast, we went back to our room, pack up, and go to the lobby to put our stuffs. Because our bus back to KL is at 5pm and we wouldn’t want to carry all the luggage with us. After everything done, we went walking… again.

Jook, me, Chinling, and Tiffy is in this picture.
Merry Christmas everyone.

Lucky Plaza. A place where most foreign workers like to hangout. Damn a lot.

It rain and stop and rain and stop on that Sunday.

After Orchad road, we went to Peninsular Plaza to look for some camera stuffs. But then you can see from the picture, they close on Sunday. WTF!

A very pretty church on our way back.

After some hours of bus riding, we’ve finally reach KL. And that concluded our little trip to Singapore. It was tiring because of all the walking. Didn’t manage to meet up with some other friends due to the tight timing. Next time… next time…

Yup… GOD… John Knutsson, the Flash (Adobe) Actionscripting god is back from Sydney for a holiday with his wife. He went to the office yesterday to look for the guys, and Jook sms me to join them for dinner. After so long, of course must go and meet him lar. So I msn Siewmei and off we go dinner together.
John didn’t change much, just that he stopped smoking during his time in Sydney, and he ordered a plate of salad for his dinner. He’s getting healthier and healthier. We talked a lot during dinner, from his current working conditions, to some old company trips.
We had great time catching up with this old friend, and may all his plan work out. Merry Christmas John.
In photo (from left to right): Little Rabbito, John Knutsson, Jo-anne, Waihoong, Meiyeng, Karen Koay, Ben, Brian Leong, Sue-ann, Meng, Jook, and me holding the camera.
Invited by Clive, me and Siewmei were joining Clive for a photography trip to shoot a very nice sunrise at Broga Hill near Semenyih. The trip was organized by SK, and the total headcount for the trip was around 16.
We started our ascent from the foot of the hill around 6am(so can you imagine what time we woke up!). The path was slippery and very dark. Torch light is a must because it’s total darkness there. After the initial palm tree plantation, we were walking in the jungle itself. Luckily we were wearing our long pants because there’s a lot of tall grass and branches which can cut. Around 50 minutes later, we’ve finally arrived at the 1st stop point. A rock which indicate it is the 1st stop for us, we stopped(of cos) to rest, and prepare our cameras to wait for the sun to rise.
Unfortunately the weather of the day was not very nice. It was drizzling a bit on our way up, and it was cloudy when we reached there. So after some waiting, we figured that there’ll be no sunrise shooting that day. Too much clouds was blocking the sun. Damn it. So, we started shooting everything la, since there’s no focus already now.

1st stop, we were waiting for the sunrise, but dissapointed.

Clive bought McD for breakfast that day, and he really knows how to enjoy his McD.

The way up to another stop.

A view from the top.

Weirdly there’s some flies flying around at that high. Wonder that they’re up to.

After we reach the 2nd peak, we discovered that a lot of uncles and aunties, some bringing their family up there for morning walk! *Respect yo!*

Siewmei brought her brother’s camera there to play play.

Look at Clive, so happy.

Let’s go up there.

The grass does look like padi.

On the way up to the 2nd stop.

This is a higher view.

The rock there are quite nice as photography background.

Clive performing some flying kicks with his hand firmly gripped on the rock. But the image shows that he’s more like falling.

Sometimes photographer tends to ignore their own safety for a good shot.

3 photographers 1 model.

Everyone waiting, taking pictures, and chit-chatting there.

Looks at the lower clouds, not enough to make the whole scene nice. And look at the upper clouds, too much to be blocking the sun.

Tired and resting.

Getting a nice pair of climbing shoes are quite important.

Say “chiiiiizzz”~

Patriotic Clive.

It was my 1st experience going up this high for shooting. Although we didn’t manage to get a nice shot of the sunrise, but then it’s still a good experience for me.
Stella came back from Singapore last Friday, so she called us out for a Karaoke session on Saturday morning. Stella, Siewmei, Benny, and me was there for a 2 hours (only) K session. We sang from 11am to 1pm. First time singing with Stella and Benny, both of them was very good K kaki. Hehe.
So after the Karaoke session, me and Siewmei bought some cakes and went to Sri Petaling to meet her friends. It was a small but warm gathering for them since they’re friends since college days. Catching up with each others and talking about some women’s stuffs since one of their friend, Liz is pregnant with a baby girl. Congrats.
The place that we went at Sri Petaling, from outside it just looks like a normal 2 storeys house with a lot of cars parked both side of the road. But inside, it’s actually Oh-&-Ah, the shop. Why did we gathered there is because one of their friend, Teck Yew(I think that’s his name) is one of the owner of the shop.
They sell all sorts of nice, cute, old-skool, useful and pretty stuffs. From home decorations to clothes, personal accessories to toys. And a lot of their products are handmade also! This means they’re unique. I’ll leave their website to list down what they have to sell. Gonna share some(a lot) of the photos I took there.

Their logo. An… erm… animal i think. With a lot of hair.

1st floor showroom.

Most of the accessories they sell is for the girls. So girls, if you like accessories, you’ll have to check them out.

Funky giraffes.

Earrings and printed tees.

Big rings.

Old-skool tin firetruck necklace.

Besides those items that can be bought, there are a lot of the decorations there that are only for display purposes only. Too bad.

Colourful earrings.

A special hanger for you to hang your earrings?

Handmade badges. Pretty nice and cute. We bought a few from the collection that they have here. But some of us are eyeing on the suitcase itself. Hahaha.

Each of their pricetag, are hand-drawn and pretty much unique from one another.

Nice and cozy fitting room.

It’s the Mega Sale season!

A beautiful tree branch decorated with little cards of of wishes and wish list of customers and friends.

A cabinet top filled with hand-molded figurines.

Looking for something different to put your flowers in?

Boxes with expressions.

Closer look at the figurines.

Stones with drawings. Pretty Zen-ish.

Tin toyz… is this old-skool or what?…

Animal shaped necklaces.

Key chain made out of… a lot of stuffs.

Ride with Mr. Postman.

Chalk writing on the wall. Pretty cool. I’m gonna try it in my room sometimes.

Dried flowers that they’re selling.

Notebooks.

Figurine A (right): “Wei, I think there’s something on your head.”
Figuring B (left): “Screw you la. Where got.”

A peachful demonstration.

I’m not sure whether it is eating the plant? Or it is vomitting them out.

Plant now! Safe the Earth. Apparently there are see
ds in those small boxes, that will grow trees up to 25m high!

Nice piece of antique-looking fan. But I think it is for blowing only, not for sale.

Some of the badges we bought in close-up.

It’s time for people shots.

Gigi and Brian. And Siewmei in the middle.

Me and Royce. Don’t be mistaken that we’re very close friends, this is my first time meeting her. Hahaha. Very friendly and playful as you can see from the picture.

This shot looks like some magazine cover.

A very nice shot of Siewmei posing against the dried flowers. The colours are very nice.

Brian Wong trying to perm his short hair.

Brian with the dried flowers also.

Very cute bag that Siewmei is holding. This shot also looks like those street fashion photography.

Good friends: Teck Yew, Gigi, Royce, Siewmei, and Liz. (from left to right)

Little drummer tin toy robot: “Thank you for your visit. Please come again soon.”
