On February 1st, a public holiday Monday, Andrew, Siewmei, and me, went on a small photography trip to Morib, Gold Coast. Our last visit to Tanjung Sepat we totally missed the place. So this small trip is kinda consider a filler to the place.

Basically, there’s really nothing much there, or we didn’t do our research before going there. What’s there we saw was beaches, empty beaches, long stretch of empty beaches. Not to say it’s not nice la, but just a little too plain.

We first reached this place call Gold Coast Bagan Lalang. What they’re building here is something like what you saw in Dubai, the palm-tree-formationed chalet. The resort is call Golden Palm Tree Water Villas.

Can’t really see the shape of the formation when we’re at the same level as the resort. But the empty beach + the resort view is quite nice.

Waveless beach. If you really wanna see the wave, you’ll have to walk damn far out.

Was very hot. Luckily we got umbrella to avoid the burn.

Liking the reflections.

A lake located opposite the beach.

Everybody loves lalang.

It was 11:04am based on Siewmei’s shadow.

Casually shooting as we walk.

Garden chair in the hot afternoon sun. Anybody wanna grill your butt?

A hut with pretty roof. :D

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
Arc made out of bamboos. How can not shoot? Hehe.

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
Cannot step on the grass.

Siewmei resting under a pondok. Was too cooling to continue back out.

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
At the entrance of the Resort, there’s some Chinese New Year decoration. The photo looks so Chinese New Year feel!

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
I guess this boat was parked here when the tide is high.

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
Baywatch tower.

Group photo time!

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
Siewmei walking along the beach stretch, there are a lot of monkeys around that area.

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
Walked out to see if there’s something to shoot.

Reflections again~

You would think one crab is following the other one, but crab walks sideways la! They’re just both going to the same place.

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
A shell with a slightly bigger crab hidden inside. Waited so long for it to come out.

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
Still not coming out lor. :D

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
Looks at the holes on the beach. They’re all crab holes.

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
Oasis.

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
Mudskippers was skipping around with deadly paste.

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
After some beach walking, it was around 2pm already. So we went back to Tanjung Sepat and back to the same restaurant we had our lunch the last time.

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
Ordered the same food.

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
Ah Mei Mian Fen Gao. Customizable noodles.

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
After the lunch, how can we don’t go to the Pao shop and enjoy the famous Pao of Tanjung Sepat. This is my favourite, the peanuts Pao.

http://lookat.my/blog | Morib Gold Coast
Hai Yew Heng, 海友興, people come from around Malaysia to enjoy their specialty here.

That concluded this small photography trip. A casual and relaxing one. Next time you thinking of going to the beach, Morib is another choice for you, no need go all the way to Port Dickson. :D

陈国伟 > Thanks! Actually this was an unplanned trip. So we didn’t do any research on where’s nice around that place. We simply drove around. Where’s Pantai Morib? Is it the same place?

Sue > Thanks. :)

cheeheng ( February 4, 2010 at 12:30 pm )

Actually you’ll pass by ‘Pantai Morib’ on your way to Tanjung Sepat. There’s few baywatch towers & a lot monkeys there. That’s why i was wondering your pic#20 & #22 are taken there… XD

Do you have any contact of resort nearby Morib beach ? other than Golden Palm Tree (coz too expensive for me ) !)

Yuki Sing ( July 3, 2010 at 11:20 am )

Hi Yuki Sing, I’m sorry to tell you but all of our visits to Morid are all in one day, so we didn’t actually stay there. So I don’t have any contacts for the resort there. Sorry for not being able to help.

Cheeheng ( July 17, 2010 at 1:17 am )

Hi,

Your post is nice!
Would like to explore this place to see if can do windsurfing.
Do you know if the place was windy when you get there?
If yes, around what time?

Thanks!

wilson ( November 2, 2010 at 4:00 pm )

Hi Wilson >> Sorry but i’m not sure about the wind and wave condition there. It’s just normal sea breeze to me. Hahaha.

Cheeheng ( November 8, 2010 at 12:44 am )

Hello..Happy New Year.. I wanted to shoot some wedding photos at morib beach, is it a good idea? and need any entrance fees?

Sam ( January 4, 2011 at 11:10 am )

Hi Sam > Not sure if it’s a good idea for you. I’ll let you judge by yourself. Go here to see the couple portraits i helped my fren shoot:

http://lookat.my/blog/2010/09/18/victor-janice-tanjung-sepat/

If you think it’s nice, then go ahead. I myself quite like the place.

Cheeheng ( January 6, 2011 at 10:47 am )

Thanks alot for your sharing. I will make a trip to survey. Seem like not necessary to pay rm300 to the sepang gold coast resort.. many nice view along morib to tanjung sepat correct? What time will be good? evening still nice? because i was thinking will shoot some photo at putrajaya at night after morib.

Sam ( January 7, 2011 at 8:13 pm )

I believe it’s Sepang Gold Coast at Bagan Lalang, not Morib Gold Coast. Last three days i went to Sepang Gold Coast, Morib Gold Coast (not completed yet), Pantai Morib and Pantai Kelanang.

tajuddin ( February 5, 2011 at 11:35 am )

I signed up to your rss feed! Are you going to post much more about this theme? Precisely what I needed to get. Really very clear and valuable post. I am without a doubt a violator of many of those guidelines.

Thanks a lot for the helpful posting. It is also my belief that mesothelioma has an really long latency period of time, which means that signs of the disease may not emerge right until 30 to 50 years after the 1st exposure to mesothelioma. Pleural mesothelioma, which is the most common variety and is affecting the area throughout the lungs, might result in shortness of breath, upper body pains, along with a persistent coughing, which may cause coughing up our blood.
