On the 11th of April we went to this small town call Tanjung Sepat. It’s located near Banting, Sepang, and Morib. The little town was famous for it’s seafoods and Lover’s Bridge. Based on further findings on the internet, apparently there are more to the town. Based on our itinerary, we explored Tanjung Sepat. Hopefully you’ll like the photos.

There are 14 of us, Dom, Andrew, Siewmei, Yanny, Kokwai, Benchin, Ah Fai, Kokwai’s friend A, Sherinna, Behn and Eddy. Aivy and Aivy’s friend A came later in the trip. We gathered ourselves at Subang 7am in the morning and depart, based on the directions we gathered here and there on how to go to Tanjung Sepat.

Last week, me and the gang finally went for the several-time-postponed kite flying session. Me, Siewmei, Yenc, and Jook went to gather at Shyng and Jaemy’s house at Kota Damansara. Aftere a brief lunch, off we go to where we never went before, Taman Metropolitan, Kepong.

We reached there around 3 something, where there’s still a lot of parking spaces available. But after we went down a while, it started drizzling a bit. But the kite seller uncle told us very confidentally that this is cloud-passing-rain, and very fast will stop. He also told us to trust him cos he’s very familiar to the weather there. So we did, bought the kite for RM15, and 500 feet string for RM5.

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Shyng holding the RM20 kite like a kid + the expression of “can we have this one instead?” on her face.

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Yenc re-tying the string to the kite because the string got stuck on the tree while the kite was on the ground on the other side, so she has to free the kite, roll back the string, and tying them back again.

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Shyng and Jook, writing some love messages to the kite before flying it. Awww… so sweet.

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
While the others are busy doing their own stuffs, Siewmei had already flew her kite to the sky. So enjoy~

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Me *thinking: which one is my kite?*

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Yenc and Jaemy still trying to get their kite flying after some time. I think the kite doesn’t quite like Yenc because Yenc was shouting saying another kite that shaped like a Stingray was so nice, she so likes it. Hehe.

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Actually Jook and Shyng also still can’t manage to fly their kite up yet. Maybe the kite was overloaded with lovey-dovey messages. Lol!

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Me *still thinking: which one is my kite?*

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Yenc sweating like waterfall and tired. Jaemy was thinking *how come other people can fly the kite up so fast geh?*.

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
The Shyng + Jook team still haven’t manage to fly their kite up, so Shyng trying to walk the kite instead of flying it. Wuahaha…

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Ok ok. One last try.

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Jook releasing the kite, while Shyng pulling and running.

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Finally, the couple managed to flew their kite up the sky.

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Flying side by side.

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Jook manage to finished his roll of string. Shyng so happy. :)

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
After flying the kite up about an hour, we decided to stop and pose with our kite a bit. I like this shot, but too bad the background a bit noisy.

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
Me imitating Siewmei’s pose to hopefully get a nice picture. Comments anyone? Haha…

http://lookeye.blogspot.com
See, I told you Yenc’s kite doesn’t like her. Their string broke, and the kite flew away… to a place far, far, far, far away… But Yenc quite ok with it also after a while, she said next time can buy the stingray kite. :

Jook and Shyng so happy to got their kite up and flying.

Flying kite outing: done succesfully!

After the rain, we can’t wait to get started… Waihoong was the first one to rush out and climb the first stairs…

Waihoong attaching his harness to the safety line…

Sue-ann look so happy… for now…

Hmm… i think something hit Siewmei… haha… (she’s quite a good actor)…

Lovely Leslie and Jacque waiting for their turn…

After a few of them went up, Sue-ann start to feel the stress… haha… look at her!

My turn, this is what it looks like from the top… are you afraid of height? hehe…

Sue-ann climbing up the stairs slowly…

The first challenge… easy… just walk through…

A photo of the Zig-Zag bridge from the bottom…

Sue-ann taking the first challenge… steadily…

Jook is like running over… wth…

Siewmei with double-V…

I like this shot, a lot of stuffs happening in the picture, you can see Sue-ann and Jook on the top left, Siewmei getting ready to climb up on the lower left, Sonny walking through the swinging bridge, and Janelle waiting behind Sonny…

Sue-ann challenging the Zig-Zag bridge… Syam is coming in to the picture in the red shirt…

The first flying fox, and the highest one…

This one is easy, and very short…

Flying rabbit… haha…

The swing bridge, each of them is an individual swing… so you must be very careful or you’ll slip and fall…

Traffic jam!… haha… Sue-ann taking her time on the swing bridge while others are waiting behind… can you see waihoong on the left? This is his second round?! He finished one round of the whole thing and then start all over again! Damn fast…

Flying Jook.

The net bridge… one of the easiest challenge…

You see… Waihoong is chasing us from behind…

My personal opinion, this is the Toughest challenge… is like Tarzan, you have to jump from one plank to the next one by holding the rope and swing yourself over… The distant between the plank in the picture looks small, but believe me… is not…

Siewmei surfing the net happily…

Siewmei got a talent in this Tarzan challenge… she made it look so simple… *respect*…

Look at Waihoong doing it… look at the expression on the face… haha… not easy yo…

Longer version of the first Zig-Zag bridge…

Chicken Exit… for… chicken… hahha… you can exit to the ground from this Chicken Exit if you really can’t take it anymore…

Another net bridge… this one more romantic, walking pass arc of leaves… hahaha…

Me, Ben, and Siewmei taking a break…

A very nice shot of Ben getting his harness right… it was hooked to the wrong safety line… haha…

Flying Rot

Quite high lor… haha…

This is the last bridge… very long and wobbly…

Syam, Jook, and Ben… Team “Tribe Toyota”…

Waihoong getting down to that final bridge… his second attempt…

Sue-ann sitting there getting ready to swing to the other side and grab the net, while Syam is walking over…

Way to go Sue!

Syam failed to grab the net on the opposite and was left hanging there… hahaha…
Jook and Ben on the right there trying to safe her…

Siewmei preparing to step on the final bridge…

Waiting for my turn…

There is where i came down from…

Ok… make sure the harnesses are secure…

Spider-rabbit…

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Monkey…

Siewmei getting ready for the final challenge… a long Flying fox…

Weeee…

After everything is done, this is how i look like… exhausted…

Waihoong enjoyed his time there… 2 fingers – mean he finished the course twice…

Before we leave the place, another group photo…

Went to Skytrex Adventure at Bukit Cahaya, Shah Alam, with 12 of my colleagues and ex-colleagues… had a lot of fun there doing stuffs that city people don’t normally do… is the ultimate outdoor adventure… well, at least for me…

This is what we saw when we were walking into the park… damn high… the instructor told us it was 17 meters high…

We were hanging around waiting for our harnesses… so just stand and look at other people at the training ground…

Before we start to do anything, of cos have to take photo la…

Waited around half an hour+, finally they have harnesses for us to use… the employee there helping SiewMei to fasten the harness… while she happily posing there…

This was Brian’s equipment for the day… his laptop… haha… he actually brought his laptop there and work… he don’t know what he missed man…

A special full body harness for Benny Boy… maybe that guy tot he’s too huge or what… hahaha…

Ben, SiewMei, and Leslie are happy with their new look… haha…

Waihoong was well-prepared with his army pants and sissy Timberland shoes… haha…

Jook: “Wanna hook me up?”

Luckily i was wearing dark color clothing… haha… cos the harness causes the bottom part to not look that nice… haha…

Janelle and Sonny are getting ready…

So are Leslie and Jacque… can’t wait to take on the nature…

Sue-ann, Jook, and SiewMei posing before the training…

This is our instructor, Mr. Malay Guy…

Listening to Mr. Malay Guy briefing…

Mr. M.G teaching us how to use those harnesses… cos there are 3 different harnesses to use…

After briefing, WaiHoong can’t wait to try it out… so he’s the first one up…

While i’m up there, i still got time to take out my camera and cam-whore in the middle of the hanging bridge… hehe… look at sue-ann at the back there…

Jacque jumping towards the net in Spiderman style…

SiewMei slumberly walking and posing on the hanging bridge…

Sue-ann’s turn now… her face showed how worried she is…

Janelle doing the Tarzan…

Sue-ann still there crossing the hanging bridge slowly and steadily…

Sonny act shouting… cos Janelle said since paid already… must shout… hahaha…

Flying-fox-Janelle…

Again SiewMei with her slumber style flying foxing to the end of the training course…

Sue-ann very tensely swinging to the end…

Before everyone can finished the training, rain came pouring at us… luckily i finished fast and went to the pondok… not too lucky for Ben… maybe that’s why he fell sick after that… haha…

A shot of the small pond behind the pondok while rain falling…

More to come on Part II
